DataGlyphics Launches Florida Marine Research Institute Extranet
7/31/2001

DataGlyphics, a leading Tampa Bay Web development firm, recently worked with Florida Marine Research Institute (FMRI) to re-engineer their Information Request System. The results are apparent in the organization-wide Information Request System extranet (http://rfi.floridamarine.org), used by the 300-member staff.

The extranet enables FMRI to keep tabs on the public’s requests for information and to streamline the state reporting process. The system also enables effective long-range planning, and it provides accurate data for federal grants and annual reports.

“Our extranet’s online reports let FMRI personnel ask questions and get answers in real-time, instead of having to wait weeks for a system administrator to run a report,” commented Darlene Haverkamp, FMRI Research Administrator. “Everyone here loves it.”

DataGlyphics provides Web application development, site hosting and management for FMRI.
