DataGlyphics a Finalist for Outstanding Business of the Year Award

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – DataGlyphics Inc. today announced that the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce named DataGlyphics a finalist for the 2002 Outstanding Business of the Year Award in the Technology Company of the Year category. Winners will be announced during the Awards Gala held May 9th at 6:30 p.m. at the Hilton St. Petersburg.
The St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce chose DataGlyphics as a finalist based on the company's response to seven criteria established by the U.S. Small Business Administration: staying power, employee growth, increase in sales and/or unit volume, innovativeness of product or service, response to adversity, and evidence of contributions to aid community-oriented projects. DataGlyphics also had to substantiate its financial position.

A panel of 19 judges comprised of past winners and members of the Outstanding Business of the Year Awards Nomination Committee spent several weeks assessing the businesses competing for this year's award. The St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce began recognizing local business in 1984. Since then, the event has grown from a small breakfast to a gala affair with more than 500 supporters of Pinellas County businesses in attendance.
