Florida Marine Research Institute and DataGlyphics Win WebAward
10/1/2002
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – DataGlyphics Inc. and The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's Florida Marine Research Institute (FMRI) today announced that they won the Web Marketing Association's Standard of Excellence WebAward for the FMRI Web site, www.floridamarine.org. FMRI's ongoing, five-year partnership with DataGlyphics has allowed the Institute and the Web development company to co-develop a comprehensive site that strives to help its audience understand the highly scientific research conducted at FMRI and the impact of this research on visiting and resident populations. DataGlyphics' previous honors include the 2001 Standard of Excellence WebAward for www.nokiala.com, a tribute shared with its client, Nokia Mobile Phones.
"We're honored to have our work once again recognized on a national level by the Web Marketing Association," said William Stover, Jr., CEO of DataGlyphics. "As with all of our clients, the project with FMRI illustrates the high level of development, innovation and technology that our team strives to deliver. FMRI is an exciting client, and we are privileged to serve as their partner on the Web."
Members of the media, site developers, advertising executives, content providers and Webmasters judged WebAward entries. Entrants were scored on design, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, ease of use and technology.
Catherine Billick, Web site coordinator with FMRI, said, "It's encouraging and exciting to have our work with DataGlyphics nationally recognized. FMRI and DataGlyphics have a strong working relationship. The DataGlyphics team provides us with innovative thinking and sound technology that help make our site successful."
