DataGlyphics Adds Midwest Disaster Recovery Facility

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – DataGlyphics Inc., a St. Petersburg-based Web development firm, today
announced the addition of a second network facility in Cedar Falls, Iowa to serve as a disaster recovery option for its existing clients.
The Network Operations Center (NOC) is served by two separate high-speed OC-48-capable fiber optic connections and utilizes multiple Tier-1 Internet backbone providers. The facility is fitted with waterless fire-suppression systems, UPS and back-up generators, and environmental controls to ensure high-quality, uninterrupted service. The NOC is continuously monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
"Although our main NOC includes many disaster prevention measures like generator backup, multiple fiber providers running BGP and real-time data replication, we felt it would be helpful to provide our clients the option for an additional level of redundancy," said William H. The disaster recovery system we have developed helps ensure our clients' web sites and applications will continue to function no matter the status of our primary NOC."
